Provider: Yes, I need to know if you will allow us to bill a global code for maternity care or if we must submit each date separately.
Me: Actually, you can bill the claims either way. Both would be eligible.
Provider: Really?
Me: Yes, that's what I'm showing in our system.
Provider: Are you sure because most other Large Insurance Companies don't allow that.
Me: That may be true for them but here at The Very Large Insurance Company we will accept both ways of billing for maternity care.
Provider: Really?
Me: Yup.
Provider: Are you sure?
Me: Yes.
Provider: Cuz, we could bill it either way; I want to make sure it is eligible with you however we will bill that.
Me: Yes, I'm sure. either way would be fine. It's up to you how you prefer to bill the services.
Provider: You know, I have the procedure code that we would want to bill if we bill it as global.
Me: ..........Do you want me to look that up to see if it would be eligible?
Provider: Oh, can you do that? That would be wonderful!

Me: Yeah, that code's fine to bill.
